Mother-Daughter
Relationships in Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club
Me, Myself, and I....
My name is Dennis Batin and I am currently attending my second
year at the University of Georgia. With
the intentions of becoming a surgeon in the future I am currently pursuing
a degree in Chemistry. I was born in Romania on August 5, 1983 and have lived
in the United States for the last seventeen years of my life. I graduated
from North Gwinnett High School
on the afternoon of May 26, 2001.
Other than school and working at the Buckhead Brewery in Cummings,
GA, my life revolves around the import
car
scene. I own a 2002 World Rally Blue Pearl Impreza WRX Sedan which I acquired
recently on my nineteenth birthday and drive daily to school, work, and car
shows. On the weekends I am not working I do enjoy the occasional event of
Auto-Cross at Road Atlanta or a trip to Andretti Speed Labs in Alpharetta,
GA where if I get talked into it, I participate in the Tray Sliding Event.
The art of tray sliding involves placing plastic trays under the tires of
a car with the intent to spin the car in circles on wet pavement. (It has
no real purpose, but it is fun to watch and occasionally participate).
Being that my vehicle is all wheel drive, I have no need for trays to slide
all over the place as the picture to the right displays. Clicking on the
picture will provide a link to my growing photo library where the video of
the "Rock and Roll Gyro" is available to be viewed by all audiences.
